We are pleased to welcome Unstoppable Domains (“UD”) to the ICA!
UD began in 2018 as a Web3 provider whose unique names are used by customers to build and verify their digital identities, log in to Web3 applications and games, and streamline crypto payments by replacing lengthy crypto wallet addresses with web3 names.
Last year, UD broadened its business substantially. Most notably, UD became an accredited ICANN Registrar in the summer of 2024 and is fully committed to the DNS, ICANN compliance, and increased participation in the ICANN and DNS communities. UD is working with some of the largest ICANN Registries to onboard more gTDLs and ccTLDs and grow its business.
UD is simultaneously developing its onchain domain offerings and tools to be layered on top of traditional DNS domains to provide additional benefits and functionality. All DNS domains registered with UD are now onchain and come with Web3 wallet functionality, enabling those domains to be sold in onchain marketplaces.
UD is attending the upcoming ICA Member Meeting in Las Vegas and is looking forward to meeting other members.
