2024 – A Year in Review

As we close out another incredible year, we’re proud to reflect on all that the ICA community has accomplished in 2024.

  • Welcoming New Members
    Over 30 new members joined the ICA, strengthening our voice and expanding our community.
  • Recognizing Excellence
    This year, we celebrated achievements with the Howard New Lifetime Achievement Award, the Lonnie Borck Memorial Award, and the launch of the new Trailblazer Award, honoring innovation in the domain industry.
  • Engaging the Community
    • The ICA sent out 52 UDRP Weekly Digests, providing insights to over 100 UDRP panelists and practitioners every week.
    • Hosted 7 AMAs with industry leaders, providing members with invaluable insights and opportunities to connect.
    • We hosted our 1st Gerald Levine Lecture and conducted the 1st UDRP Panelist Education and Training Session, a significant step in fostering fair decision-making.
    • Weekly calls with Gerry Levine brought together UDRP panelists and practitioners to discuss case law and build bridges within the community.
  • Advocating for Policy Reform
    • Collaboration with WIPO on UDRP Reform and the creation of 22 Proposals for UDRP Reform by UDRP.Group showcased the ICA’s leadership in shaping domain name policy.
    • We participated in 6 public comments and submitted 4 formal comments to ICANN and the Business Constituency (BC).
  • Representing ICA Globally
    • ICA representatives traveled over 40,000 miles, attending 5 major conferences, including ICANN meetings, NamesCon, and Dubai Domain Days.
    • Participated in 20 ICANN Business Constituency Meetings, furthering advocacy efforts on behalf of our members.
  • Strengthening Leadership
    Welcomed Ryan McKegney as a new board member, bringing fresh perspectives and energy to the ICA’s mission.
