We are excited to introduce the ICA Trailblazer Award, a new honor developed by the ICA to recognize and celebrate companies and individuals that have significantly advanced the domain name industry by creating an especially innovative product or service with lasting influence on our business. A robust, sophisticated industry has grown from modest roots over the past twenty years. This award is designed to shine a spotlight on those whose trailblazing advances have helped make that growth possible and on those who are shaping the future of our industry.
We invite you to participate in this process by nominating those companies or individuals that you believe are deserving of the award. Nominations are open to the entire industry. Companies and individuals are welcome to nominate themselves if they feel their contributions are worthy of recognition.
Nominations are open until October 31st.
The ICA Trailblazer Award with its focus on innovative business products and services complements the Lonnie Borck Memorial Award (LBMA) which honors an individual for contributing to strengthening our community. As will be explained further in a separate announcement, the procedures and timing for both awards are the same. Once the nominations are in for the ICA Trailblazer Award, the ICA board will review and approve the nominations.
The winner of the ICA Trailblazer Award will be determined by a vote of the ICA members. The inaugural award will be presented at the next ICA Annual Member Meeting in Las Vegas at an awards ceremony along with the recipient of the Lonnie Borck Memorial Award.
